Event uniform SOP

 

 

 

Uniform; Standard Operational Procedures

 

When a scheduled event is slated for/ by the unit, whether a Reenactment, Living History, drill or any service, unless specified by an officer, a cavalry-uniformed member must be in full uniform with accoutrements.

 

  1. Uniform, is specified as full regulation cavalry uniform.

 

·        Brogans or period boots are accepted.

 

·        Rag wool socks recommended.

 

·        Period cavalry trousers with suspenders are preferred, infantry trousers will be accepted.

 

·        Period shirt.

 

·        Shell or sack coat.

 

·        Red necktie (veterans only).

 

·        Forge cap or kepi.

 

  1. Leathers

 

·        Sword belt, holster, carbine sling, cap pouch and cartridge box.

 

  1. Weapons

 

·        Carbine, Pistol and saber.

 

  1. Miscellaneous
